About The Artwork

Holding Light is a quiet reflection on the moments when we are learning to find our way back to ourselves.

She sits somewhere between vulnerability and becoming — her face partially hidden, her expression soft and inward, as though she is listening to something only she can hear. Around her, butterflies emerge like small reminders of transformation, freedom and the possibility of beginning again.

The delicate palette of blush, ivory, charcoal and soft teal creates an atmosphere that feels both fragile and hopeful. Loose, expressive brushstrokes allow the figure to almost dissolve into the surrounding light, suggesting that healing is not always a straight path. Sometimes it is found in the spaces between who we were and who we are becoming.

The butterflies are more than decoration. They represent change — the quiet shedding of old versions of ourselves and the courage it takes to let something new emerge.

Holding Light is about recognising that even when our own light feels faint, it is still there. Sometimes we simply need to pause long enough to see it.

A soulful statement piece for those drawn to expressive portraiture, feminine energy, transformation and artwork that carries a deeper emotional story.

For the moments when you are becoming, healing, and learning to hold your own light again.
